God is preparing you for great things

The wish I've come to discover about God's promises is that they never flow with their surroundings (truth be told before I did not see anything beautiful about it).

He can promise provision just to guide you into a season of scarcity.

He can guarantee you that things will work out between you and the one you love, but you feel like you're losing them on the inside.Situations like this are difficult because you must contend with doubt, uncertainty, and, most importantly, yourself. It is during times like this that God uses His wonderful timing to reveal your actual character.

He lets all hell break loose to the point where you feel like you're at your wit's end and at your lowest point. At this point, you become exhausted, upset, and furious, and you walk away or yell instead of praying quietly in low tones like you used to. Take a look around at the situation and say, "You know what? It's never that serious...I'm done."

So you take a few steps in your walking away, then come back and tell God, “fine Lord, let us reason together.” He holds you and tells you to be a little patient because it is not just about you, He is working everything out, the blessing He promised is not just yours, it is for your family as well, and up to four generations after you. He needs to prepare you too to handle the blessing, otherwise when it comes too soon before it’s time, you will mess it up.

In due time, it will come to pass, but in the mean time, shake off the depression, and hopelessness and praise Him like you have received it already because it is ready. You just have to keep walking to get to where it is.

God reveals in order to redeem

The enemy you know is less persuasive than the enemy you don’t know. In most cases, God displays himself to us in dreams or in visions. So whenever God discloses it to you. He is warning you to take a step and to act upon what he revealed. One thing you should perceive is that your enemy is not your neighbor, sister, colleagues, etc. We only have one enemy, which is the devil. Satan is very manipulative and if you aren’t prayerful enough, you’ll end up falling in to his traps. The day you’ll understand, you’ll avoid despising them.

How to depend on Jesus

The things of this world cannot fill the empty space within us; only Christ can complete us. This embodies for us that we need Jesus more than anything else on this planet. God did not put us here to rely on ourselves, but to rely on him for everything. We can't survive without him, which is why the Bible cautions us not to rely on our own understanding, because our understanding can fail us and our hearts can lead us astray. Physically, we may appear to be capable of doing things on our own, but on the inside, we are slowly dying. I don’t know about you, but if you haven't yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it’s not too late. The Bible encourages us in Jeremiah 33:3 that if we call on God, he will answer us and tell us things we don't know. God is waiting for your call today. He is waiting for you to come to him and ask him to show you the way. Here is a short prayer to seek God: Heavenly Father, please forgive me for all of my transgressions against ...

Wait upon the LORD

Life resembles a route. Additionally, there will be stop signs and speed limit or increase signs along the route! I chose to use this analogy because there are times in life when all you have to do is wait on the Almighty. And just get more prayer done when you feel like a situation has triumphed over you. Simply put on the gear and switch it out. There are moments when we may feel as though the Lord is not seeing us, hearing us, or responding to our prayers. We can place all of our faith and belief in the living God at these times. Knowing that the Lord is with us and in charge of our lives allows us to wait on Him with great anticipation. He is going to fulfill his promise. He is going to save us. Even when we are not aware of Him, He is constantly at work for our good (Romans 8:28). Waiting on the Lord is something we can learn through prayer, seeking, active trusting, patience, and courage. When we wait on the Lord, we confidently anticipate a favorable outcome, for which we ...
