Many men and women of God are reluctant to preach about giving (tithe, seed) etc because they are afraid of what comes after saying those words.
People think that when a man of God asks for money, it means that the pastor loves money, or he wants money from them. Tithes and offerings are biblical and they’re not optional. It’s a command to give. Malachi 3:10
Tithe is like the insurance of your life. Many men of God had dreams, and some wanted to be doctors, nurses, teachers, etc. But they sacrificed all their dreams in order to accept the calling of God.
All the true prophets of God, you see, none of them prayed or wished to be prophets.
Look at Moses. He never preferred to be a prophet. He enjoyed being in the bush, tending to his father-in-law's flock.Look at Jeremiah; he was very young, maybe his dream was to be a doctor’s or a teacher. God called him when he was very young. Open your eyes, children of the most high God. If we don’t take care of the servants of God, who will? Can’t you see the sacrifices they do for you? While you are sleeping, they pray for you. While you are eating, they are fasting and praying for you.
When you give, you aren’t giving unto your pastor, but it’s like you are borrowing it unto to God and God will multiply it unto you. Giving is not easy, but it’s a command from God. Out of all the people, God chose a broken widow to give Elijah the prophet food. God could’ve chosen someone who was rich or loaded, but he chose a widow woman to give to the prophet.
When God is asking you to give, he’s not looking at your pocket, but he is doing it for your own good. We’ve robbed God and I have to stop now. (Deuteronomy 26:1-3) When God is summoning you to give, he is looking at that small portion which you have in order to show you that he can multiply anything out of nothing (zero).
