Five ways to humble yourself before God

Serve others

According to Jesus, true greatness and service to others go hand in hand. If you want to be great in God's eyes, take the low, humble road.

Instead of fighting your way to the top, take the path of humility. Wash the feet of others and accept low-level positions in your church.

Ongoing basis pray

Prayer is a submission and humility act. when you pray you are actually telling him that you're counting on him. And you need him to be kind to you.

You need his help in overcoming the challenges you're facing."

Show an interest in other people's lives.

A proud person is only interested in expressing their thoughts and telling others about themselves. Humility entails taking a genuine and deep interest in the lives of others. As the book of Philippians says, consider others more important than yourself.

Don't be too convinced that you're always correct

In fact, compared to the staggering amount of knowledge in the universe, you (and I) know very little. Only God knows everything, according to the truth.

Being convinced that we are always correct is both arrogant and stupid. Lower yourself in front of the Lord by admitting that you don't know or that you might be wrong.

Be quick to listen and slow to speak

A self-confident person is always eager to share their ideas, opinions, and thoughts. A humble person listens to what other people have to say while affirming that God has given everyone spiritual gifts.

God reveals in order to redeem

The enemy you know is less persuasive than the enemy you don’t know. In most cases, God displays himself to us in dreams or in visions. So whenever God discloses it to you. He is warning you to take a step and to act upon what he revealed. One thing you should perceive is that your enemy is not your neighbor, sister, colleagues, etc. We only have one enemy, which is the devil. Satan is very manipulative and if you aren’t prayerful enough, you’ll end up falling in to his traps. The day you’ll understand, you’ll avoid despising them.

How to depend on Jesus

The things of this world cannot fill the empty space within us; only Christ can complete us. This embodies for us that we need Jesus more than anything else on this planet. God did not put us here to rely on ourselves, but to rely on him for everything. We can't survive without him, which is why the Bible cautions us not to rely on our own understanding, because our understanding can fail us and our hearts can lead us astray. Physically, we may appear to be capable of doing things on our own, but on the inside, we are slowly dying. I don’t know about you, but if you haven't yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it’s not too late. The Bible encourages us in Jeremiah 33:3 that if we call on God, he will answer us and tell us things we don't know. God is waiting for your call today. He is waiting for you to come to him and ask him to show you the way. Here is a short prayer to seek God: Heavenly Father, please forgive me for all of my transgressions against ...

Wait upon the LORD

Life resembles a route. Additionally, there will be stop signs and speed limit or increase signs along the route! I chose to use this analogy because there are times in life when all you have to do is wait on the Almighty. And just get more prayer done when you feel like a situation has triumphed over you. Simply put on the gear and switch it out. There are moments when we may feel as though the Lord is not seeing us, hearing us, or responding to our prayers. We can place all of our faith and belief in the living God at these times. Knowing that the Lord is with us and in charge of our lives allows us to wait on Him with great anticipation. He is going to fulfill his promise. He is going to save us. Even when we are not aware of Him, He is constantly at work for our good (Romans 8:28). Waiting on the Lord is something we can learn through prayer, seeking, active trusting, patience, and courage. When we wait on the Lord, we confidently anticipate a favorable outcome, for which we ...
