Hannah was a phenomenal female figure in the Bible. This Bible teaches us about Hannah's great faith and powerful prayer. And assisting us in learning how to approach and view our troubles and enemies, as well as how to take them to God in prayer. The story of Hannah's prayer is found in 1 Samuel Chapter 1. Hannah married Elkanah, a man from the tribe of Ephraim.
Even
though Elkanah gave Hannah a double portion of the sacrifice but only a single
portion to Peninah and each of her children, Peninah would mock her because she
still received more because she had so many children. Hannah was so unhappy
that she refused to eat and couldn't stop crying.
The next time they went to the sacrifice, Hannah was so troubled that she
prayed to the Lord and wept bitterly.
She went her way and ate, feeling much better, and her face was no longer
sad. Hannah's prayer was answered by the birth of a son, whom she named Samuel.
What does the prayer of Hannah teach us?
Prayer is the most powerful and important tool we have because it enables us
to interact directly with God and lay our worries at his feet. Be an ardent
woman of prayer, as we learn from Hannah's prayer, understanding that all we
are and can ever hope to be is in the hands of God. The Lord who loves us and
understands our deepest needs and greatest grief even before we think to ask
him for help.
Hannah's prayer is a powerful example of how we women should approach the
Lord. When Hannah was troubled, she turned to the Lord for help. Hannah must
have prayed for a long time for God to bless her with children.
