The Fruit of the Spirit

The Holy Spirit's work in our lives tends to produce the fruit of the Spirit. When we come to Christ, the Holy Spirit indwells us and begins to bear fruit in us. He begins to work in us, sanctify us, and conform us to the image of Jesus.
These are the nine features that all Spirit-filled believers must exhibit in their lives, Calatians 5:22-23:

Love

It's not surprising that love is the first fruit identified.

Love is emphasized as one of the primary attributes of Christians throughout the New Testament, and there are multitude of Bible verses about love.

First and foremost, we are commanded to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. God is worthy of our deepest emotions and highest praise.

Jesus instructs us to love one another in both word and action. We are called to serve one another, bear one another's burdens, care for one another, and lay down our lives for one another. We should ask the Holy Spirit to assist us in loving our fellow Christ-followers even when we don't feel loved.

Joy

We will not seek joy as a treasure in and of itself; joy is the mind's satisfaction with what has already been obtained. As a result, we must not seek joy; rather, we must seek things that are pleasing to God, which will bring us joy.

Many people want to be free of these roots when it comes to joy. That is nothing more than pursuing and striving for a joy that will never be greater than human. This type of joy is unrelated to the joy that is a fruit of the Spirit. Under the guise of spirituality, the pursuit of happiness carries the greatest risks.

 Kindness

We live in a universe that is in urgent need of kindness. People are increasingly treating one another with shocking levels of unkindness, and when we are kind, we reflect God's abundant, overwhelming kindness. But God, our Savior, saved us when he revealed his kindness and love for man. God freed us because he is endlessly merciful.

Despite the fact that we are completely sinful and separated from God, God looks upon us with kindness and love. His heart was filled with mercy for us, so He sent His Son to die in our place so that we could be forgiven.

Peace

Peace is a state of relaxation and calm that results from knowing God. Even when life's storms are raging around us, we can find truthful, peaceful life. How do we achieve this tranquillity?

We can rest in the midst of storms when we trust God and know He is our good, gracious, and loving Father. Our peace is not conditional on our situations, rather, the Holy Spirit is the source of our peace.

Goodness

Goodness entails far more than simply being a nice person. Rather, it refers to actively seeking to do good for others. This is evident in how our heavenly Father treats us.

According to the Bible, it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Faithfulness

God is dependable and he will never give up or abandon us. Even when we are torn apart, He is always close by. He leads us back when we stray and he gives us strength when we are tired. Indeed, the Bible states that he is faithful even when we are not!

We must also be faithful and truthful to one another. When a fellow Christian is in trouble, we must faithfully care for them, inspire them, and refer them back to Jesus. We must show them that God is with them and will not abandon them.

Patient

It's so difficult to wait, especially when it's for something so important. The great news is that the Holy Spirit is instilling patience in us.

When you're stuck in traffic, the Holy Spirit is working on your patience. When your children do not listen to you, God uses it to produce the fruit of the Spirit in you. If you're waiting for God to bring you a husband or wife, He's growing the lovely fruit of patience in you.

Self-Control

It's no surprise that it's difficult to maintain self-control. However, self-control is a fruit of the Spirit that is vital for us. Being self-controlled entails having control over one's thoughts and actions.

We must exercise self-control in all aspects of our lives, including what we say, what we watch on television, what we think about, how much we eat, and so on.

Gentleness

Our society does not value gentleness. We believe that in order to get what we want, we must be intense, brash, and forceful. But God's ways are not the same as the ways of the world. It gives life when we speak and act gently toward one another without being overly aggressive or harsh. God is dependable and He is the most holy God, the Creator of All, the King of Kings.

When we sin, he gently convicts us and draws us back to himself. When we're struggling, he doesn't tell us to toughen up. Instead, he gently consoles us. He is close to us when we are broken-hearted.

God reveals in order to redeem

The enemy you know is less persuasive than the enemy you don’t know. In most cases, God displays himself to us in dreams or in visions. So whenever God discloses it to you. He is warning you to take a step and to act upon what he revealed. One thing you should perceive is that your enemy is not your neighbor, sister, colleagues, etc. We only have one enemy, which is the devil. Satan is very manipulative and if you aren’t prayerful enough, you’ll end up falling in to his traps. The day you’ll understand, you’ll avoid despising them.

How to depend on Jesus

The things of this world cannot fill the empty space within us; only Christ can complete us. This embodies for us that we need Jesus more than anything else on this planet. God did not put us here to rely on ourselves, but to rely on him for everything. We can't survive without him, which is why the Bible cautions us not to rely on our own understanding, because our understanding can fail us and our hearts can lead us astray. Physically, we may appear to be capable of doing things on our own, but on the inside, we are slowly dying. I don’t know about you, but if you haven't yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it’s not too late. The Bible encourages us in Jeremiah 33:3 that if we call on God, he will answer us and tell us things we don't know. God is waiting for your call today. He is waiting for you to come to him and ask him to show you the way. Here is a short prayer to seek God: Heavenly Father, please forgive me for all of my transgressions against

How do we allow our past to not define us

Even if you don't have everything together, rest certain that God sees you as his priceless possession. Your past does not define who you are today. In actuality, from a spiritual viewpoint, who you are today is not determined by your past. It might affect your thoughts, but it doesn't make you who you are. God proclaims our true identity: that we are made in His likeness and in His image, reflecting both the male and female facets of God (according to Genesis 1:26-27).
