Why is tithing and giving to the Lord so important?

Tithe is like insurance for your life. Tithing is a way of honoring God as your provider and reminding yourself that all of your resources belong to Him and are provided by His grace. You set your course to honor God in the way you handle the rest of your finances as you give away the first 10% of your income.

Giving a tithe and going above and beyond the tithe are two ways to honor God while also helping others. "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, says the Lord of hosts, and test me now.

If I do not open a window of heaven and pour out a blessing on you, there will not be enough room to receive it" —According to Malachi 3:10.

If we obey God's Word and cheerfully give the portion He has demanded of us, He will bless us and His kingdom's work. We will continue to have a close relationship with him. Many people, however, make excuses for not bringing back that percentage to God. We provide for God's work, demonstrate His steadfastness, and honor Him by recognizing Him as the source of all we have and the One worthy of our worship when we give our tithe to Him. We bring him our praise and our riches as sacrifices. Tithing is yet another manifestation of God's justice and equality toward all believers. He requested that all Christians contribute the same amount (10%) and portion (the first portion [Proverbs 3:9-10]).

God reveals in order to redeem

The enemy you know is less persuasive than the enemy you don’t know. In most cases, God displays himself to us in dreams or in visions. So whenever God discloses it to you. He is warning you to take a step and to act upon what he revealed. One thing you should perceive is that your enemy is not your neighbor, sister, colleagues, etc. We only have one enemy, which is the devil. Satan is very manipulative and if you aren’t prayerful enough, you’ll end up falling in to his traps. The day you’ll understand, you’ll avoid despising them.

How to depend on Jesus

The things of this world cannot fill the empty space within us; only Christ can complete us. This embodies for us that we need Jesus more than anything else on this planet. God did not put us here to rely on ourselves, but to rely on him for everything. We can't survive without him, which is why the Bible cautions us not to rely on our own understanding, because our understanding can fail us and our hearts can lead us astray. Physically, we may appear to be capable of doing things on our own, but on the inside, we are slowly dying. I don’t know about you, but if you haven't yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it’s not too late. The Bible encourages us in Jeremiah 33:3 that if we call on God, he will answer us and tell us things we don't know. God is waiting for your call today. He is waiting for you to come to him and ask him to show you the way. Here is a short prayer to seek God: Heavenly Father, please forgive me for all of my transgressions against ...

Wait upon the LORD

Life resembles a route. Additionally, there will be stop signs and speed limit or increase signs along the route! I chose to use this analogy because there are times in life when all you have to do is wait on the Almighty. And just get more prayer done when you feel like a situation has triumphed over you. Simply put on the gear and switch it out. There are moments when we may feel as though the Lord is not seeing us, hearing us, or responding to our prayers. We can place all of our faith and belief in the living God at these times. Knowing that the Lord is with us and in charge of our lives allows us to wait on Him with great anticipation. He is going to fulfill his promise. He is going to save us. Even when we are not aware of Him, He is constantly at work for our good (Romans 8:28). Waiting on the Lord is something we can learn through prayer, seeking, active trusting, patience, and courage. When we wait on the Lord, we confidently anticipate a favorable outcome, for which we ...
