What does God require from us?

Obedience is a requirement from God. No amount of money or giving can replace "obedience". We demonstrate and prove our love for God when we obey him. Following God's commands is a necessary part of loving him. Jesus taught his disciples in John 14:15 that if they truly loved him, they would obey his commands.

Our positions may be jeopardized if we disobey. Sin and death entered the earth as a result of Adam and Eve's disobedience. Saul lost his reign due to his disobedience. Saul attempted to substitute sacrifice for obedience.

The Bible declares that obedience is better than sacrifice. The story of Saul choosing sacrifice above obedience can be found in 1 Samuel 15. At the beginning of the chapter, Samuel communicates to Saul the message that God asked him to do.

Many people are striving tirelessly to bring God's kingdom on earth. They are more interested in social justice causes and serving their churches and communities than they have ever been. However, you should ask yourself, "Are we being obedient?" Are we making sacrifices to God that are in line with his will? "But God, look at all I'm doing for you!" are we telling ourselves, when all he wants is our hearts and obedience? Sometimes we give God something he didn't ask us to give.

And we should give because it is God's will for us to do so, not because we feel awful. Let us not try to cover our sins because we want to hide our flaws. Only Jesus' blood is sufficient to cover the multitude of our sins.

Obeying him demonstrates that we recognize his authority over our lives. When we listen to God and do what he says, he is delighted. We aren't perfect. Only Jesus Christ is perfect. As a result, only he was capable of walking in blameless, complete obedience. However, we grow in holiness when we allow the Holy Spirit to reform us from within.

As Christians, we develop in obedience and holiness as we read God's Word, spend time with Jesus, and allow the Holy Spirit to change us from within.

God reveals in order to redeem

The enemy you know is less persuasive than the enemy you don’t know. In most cases, God displays himself to us in dreams or in visions. So whenever God discloses it to you. He is warning you to take a step and to act upon what he revealed. One thing you should perceive is that your enemy is not your neighbor, sister, colleagues, etc. We only have one enemy, which is the devil. Satan is very manipulative and if you aren’t prayerful enough, you’ll end up falling in to his traps. The day you’ll understand, you’ll avoid despising them.

How to depend on Jesus

The things of this world cannot fill the empty space within us; only Christ can complete us. This embodies for us that we need Jesus more than anything else on this planet. God did not put us here to rely on ourselves, but to rely on him for everything. We can't survive without him, which is why the Bible cautions us not to rely on our own understanding, because our understanding can fail us and our hearts can lead us astray. Physically, we may appear to be capable of doing things on our own, but on the inside, we are slowly dying. I don’t know about you, but if you haven't yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it’s not too late. The Bible encourages us in Jeremiah 33:3 that if we call on God, he will answer us and tell us things we don't know. God is waiting for your call today. He is waiting for you to come to him and ask him to show you the way. Here is a short prayer to seek God: Heavenly Father, please forgive me for all of my transgressions against

How do we allow our past to not define us

Even if you don't have everything together, rest certain that God sees you as his priceless possession. Your past does not define who you are today. In actuality, from a spiritual viewpoint, who you are today is not determined by your past. It might affect your thoughts, but it doesn't make you who you are. God proclaims our true identity: that we are made in His likeness and in His image, reflecting both the male and female facets of God (according to Genesis 1:26-27).
